How to transfer domain name in 5 easy steps

DOMAIN TRANSFER 

Domain transfer is the transfer of domain name from one host(old host) to another (New) Host website.

 

 mostly user switches the domain from one to another website host due to various reasons:

  •  If the Renewal charge is high
  •  If the data centre of the host is crashed or due to different accidents of data center of hosting providers
  • After choosing wrong hosting services

In my case, there is a problem in the data centre so due to that I changed the hosting company from webhostnepal to babal.host.

 The moving process of the domain is not complicated.

In this article, we are going to explain how to transfer your domain in 5 simple steps.

Step#1

 first, choose your new web host

 There are a lot of hosting providers in Nepal but among all hosting babal.host  is the best with their services

Step#2

 Remove your domain lock and get EPP code or Auth code

 open your old hosting provider-client area (i.e customer login) with the help of your username (i.e email address) and password.

after login into your old hosting provider-client area or interface.

 

  •  Click on Domain 
  • Click on my domains

 to get options like this

  • Click on manage domain

  • Click on registrar Lock

  •  Click on  disable register lock status

Now after disabling the register lock (i.e Domain lock)

 you can get your code (i.e EPP code)

 Step#3 

start your transfer of the domain to a new host

  •  open interface of your new host and login to the client area  from the given link

  • on the domain tab, there is a domain transfer
  •  Click on domain transfer

Now register your domain with the help of Epp code

  •  Click on order now

Then you will get an ID protection option, check that box

  • click on continue

then you will get your invoice number #10258

Step#4

 verify the transfer

after registering to a new web host you will receive an email asking you to confirm that you want to transfer your domain to a new web host.

after clicking on I agree your domain transfer process we will initiate

Once the invoice created is paid and does require a five day holding period.

The transfer is then completed on 6th or 7th Day.

The domain will renew automatically by a year once the transfer is completed.

Step#5

Pay for your domain transfer

 

 after payment, the domain transfer process starts and

 Wait  for 5 to 7 days.
